This was one of the first infographic I created for TerraWatch Space after working on their branding refresh. Its founder, Aravind Ravichandran, came to me with a simple concept: he wanted to show how the infamous "Black Box Problem" applied to the satellite industry.
For context, the Black Box Problem is the controversy that surrounds algorithms which take in data as input and produce an output without their inner workings being publicly known. Essentially, when we use tools that lack transparency, we have zero oversight into how they work and cannot question their result.
